Jasmine Storer
Jasmine Storer is an artist who is about to continue her creative journey into Level 3, Extended Diploma Art and Design, at Hereford College of Arts.
With the eagerness to still explore within her art style and different mediums, Jasmine has found a passion in textiles. Her work often consists of taking matters that are close to her heart and presenting them through fabrics as well as mixing other media. She often enjoys creating collages and turning these pieces into tapestries. Jasmine ensures that her work is made from recycled resources, creating fully sustainable art.
'Purposely Aged' is a collection of tapestries, hand sewn to embrace the beauty of aging through authentic and unique wall art with aspects created to appear old. The pieces are inspired by colours and patterns found amongst elderly people's homes, as well as creating wrinkles and textures found in aged items and older skin through stitching and fabric manipulation. Creating purposely aged tapestries to show the beauty of this natural phenomenon and to break the negative stigma.
