Fiona’s contemporary landscapes capture the essence of the beautiful Herefordshire countryside on to canvas.

In the mid 1980’s Fiona’s life with oils started with precise realism.  However, years of living and traveling in countries from New England USA to the isolated beauty of the rugged Scottish Highlands, has contributed significantly to her distinctive approach to capturing the light within a landscape.

​

Fiona studied painting en plein air (out of doors) in the picturesque Italian Umbrian mountains, which a had substantial influence on her work resulting in a looser semi-contemporary style.

Having settled back in Herefordshire, Fiona’s inspiration comes from her love of this unique county’s views, towards the brooding welsh mountains.
